Science, Social Innovation and New Humanity

Brussels, 2 - 5 December 2007

The Reports of the sessions are in preparation.
Follow up will be launched 15 January 2007.

The Discussion Lines linked to the Sessions are now closed.

Context
Science is a dynamic social factor that spreads its innovation throughout other sectors of society. A collaborative process is required to guarantee the optimal social relevance and impact of science.
Scientific and social developments change or may change what is typically human. New reproductive technologies, gene therapy, cloning... but also nanotechnology, brain research, information technology....

How can science increase the impact and social relevance of its creative work?
How can society determine whether and how it makes sense to innovate?
